Women’s health
Nutrition for women
From your first period to the menopause or an active later life, a woman’s body changes, and the way she eats should change with it. We support you in adapting your eating to each stage of life, taking into account your health, your tastes and your day-to-day routine.
A set of scales cannot tell us about your energy, your muscle mass, your digestion or how you feel. That is why we look beyond weight and start by listening to you.

Adapting it to your life
Holidays, celebrations, changes of schedule… Your life goes on. What happens between visits helps us adjust the plan and prepare strategies for those moments.
You learn to adapt your eating to your day-to-day life and to the changes in your life.
Before you take the first step
Are we what you are looking for?
We want you to know what you can expect from us, whether you come for a specific need or are looking for support in a new stage of life.
We do not reduce your health to the scales.
Weight alone does not explain your energy, your digestion, your bone health or how you feel.
We start by listening to you.
We take into account your eating, your symptoms, your goals and where you are in life.
We do not sell supplements.
Being a woman, feeling tired or having reached the menopause does not automatically mean you need a supplement.
We recommend what your case needs.
When supplementation is justified, we can recommend it. We do not sell the product or make any financial gain from its purchase.
We do not add more pressure.
Looking after yourself should not mean eating less and less, piling up prohibitions or feeling that you should always be doing something more.
We help you set your priorities.
We work from scientific evidence, recognising the limits of nutrition and coordinating with other professionals when needed.
The Alimmenta team’s perspective
Our way of understanding women’s nutrition
Listening to you, understanding what you need and helping you look after your eating without adding more pressure. These are some of the ideas that guide our work in the clinic.
Your eating affects more than your weight
The scales give us information, but they cannot explain on their own how you feel. In the consultation we look at whether your eating may be contributing to things such as:
- Tiredness or lack of energy.
- Feeling weak or recovering poorly after exercise.
- Constant hunger or lack of appetite.
- Drowsiness or difficulty concentrating.
- Gas, bloating, constipation or heavy digestion.
- Deficiencies shown in your blood tests.
- Difficulty maintaining muscle mass.
These symptoms can have different causes. We do not automatically put them down to eating: when needed, we also recommend a medical assessment.
Looking after yourself should not mean eating less and less
Good eating should be sufficient, healthy, appealing, realistic and personalised. We check that it meets your energy and nutrient needs and that it fits your tastes, your schedule and your physical activity.
It is not about adding prohibitions or looking for a miracle food. It is about building a way of eating that you can keep up and enjoy.
You do not need to do everything you read about women’s health
Metabolism, cortisol, fasting, collagen, probiotics, products to “balance your hormones”… Receiving so many messages does not always help you understand what you need. Sometimes it just leaves you feeling that you should be doing something more.
We prefer to set your priorities with you: to find out how you eat, what worries you and what you need to look after, before suggesting isolated solutions.
Where you are in life matters, but it does not explain everything
Puberty, the menstrual cycle, trying to conceive, pregnancy, the postpartum period, breastfeeding and the transition to the menopause can bring different needs. Priorities also change when we want to look after muscle mass and bone health as we get older.
But two women of the same age and at a similar stage can need very different approaches. We take into account your specific situation, your symptoms, your blood tests and your goals.
We do not assume that your discomfort is “normal”
We want to listen to you without reducing what is happening to weight, age, stress or hormones. Women’s health covers far more than sexual and reproductive matters.
Digestive discomfort, menstrual changes, abnormal blood test results or lack of energy deserve attention. We look at what falls within nutrition and recognise when you need an assessment from another professional.
Recommending a supplement is not the same as selling one
At Alimmenta we do not sell supplements. That does not mean we do not recommend them when there is a justified need, such as a diagnosed deficiency or a situation in which certain nutrients are not being covered.
We assess your eating, your blood tests and your health situation. Being a woman, feeling tired or having reached the menopause does not automatically mean you need a supplement.
When we recommend one, we do not sell the product or make any financial gain from its purchase. We keep health advice separate from sales.
Your relationship with food deserves attention too
Years of going from one diet to the next, feeling guilty after eating, being afraid of certain foods or alternating rigid control with loss of control can make it harder to change habits.
Our role is to listen and help you without judging you. When you need it, we work jointly with clinical psychology; we also have endocrinology available to coordinate your care according to your case.
We want you to take away tools for your life
A plan works better when it is more than just handing over a menu. We need to understand your difficulties and support you as you put it into practice.
Over the course of the consultations you learn to make decisions and to adapt your eating to the situations that come up. The aim is for you to understand better what you need and to have tools you can use at the different stages of your life.
Nutrition for women should bring clarity, without adding more pressure, restrictions or contradictory messages.

The most common questions
Does the consultation focus on losing weight?
No. Weight may be part of the assessment, but we also take into account your eating, your blood tests, physical activity, symptoms, muscle mass and where you are in life.
What should I bring to the first visit?
If you have recent blood tests, medical reports or diagnoses, bring them so that we can take them into account. We would also like to know what medication or supplements you take and what changes or discomforts led you to book an appointment.
Will you recommend supplements?
First we review your eating, your symptoms, your blood tests and your situation. If there is a need that justifies it, we can recommend supplementation. At Alimmenta we do not sell the product or make any financial gain from its purchase.
Does nutrition replace a gynaecological assessment?
No. Nutrition can be part of comprehensive, coordinated care, but it does not replace a gynaecological, medical or psychological assessment when one is needed.
Will I always see the same professional?
Yes. The same professional supports you from the first visit until discharge. Behind the scenes, cases are discussed in clinical meetings, and we have clinical psychology and endocrinology available.
Can it be done online?
Yes. You can have your consultations by video call. When you book, we will advise you on the professional and the format that suit you best.
How much does the first women’s nutrition visit cost?
The first visit lasts 45 minutes and costs from €65, in person or online. If there is a medical condition that requires a specific consultation, the rate may vary; we will confirm it before you book. Also ask about reduced prices through bundles of visits or insurer agreements.
