A dietitian-nutritionist is the health professional who looks at how you eat and adapts it to your health, your tastes and your daily life. In Spain it is a regulated health profession: it requires a university degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and registration with the professional college to practise. At Alimmenta the whole team is registered.

In Spain, “nutritionist” on its own is not a regulated title; “dietitian-nutritionist” is. An endocrinologist is a doctor: they diagnose and treat hormonal conditions and can prescribe. When your case needs it, we work together with your doctor or with our own endocrinology team.

If you want to lose or gain weight without miracle diets, have digestive discomfort such as bloating or reflux, have been told your cholesterol or blood sugar is high, are pregnant or going through menopause, play sport, eat vegetarian or are worried about your children’s eating. If food makes you anxious or guilty, we work on it together with psychology. You’ll find every area in specialties.

At the first visit we talk about why you came, your health, your medication and your habits, and agree on realistic goals. Then a plan adapted to you, with no fixed menus or unnecessary supplements, and follow-up with the same professional, in person or by video call. We explain it step by step in how we work.
