How much does a dietitian-nutritionist cost in Barcelona?
At Alimmenta, the first appointment costs âŹ65 for general nutrition and âŹ75 for digestive, sports, oncology and psycho-nutrition consultations. If your insurer has an agreement with us, the rates are âŹ55 and âŹ65. A 10-appointment package is available.
Does public healthcare cover nutrition consultations?
Access to a dietitian-nutritionist through public healthcare is very limited and depends on a referral from your doctor, so most nutrition consultations are private or through an insurer. If you have health insurance, ask us about our agreement.
What is the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?
In Spain, the regulated healthcare profession is dietitian-nutritionist: it requires a university degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and mandatory registration with the professional association. In Catalonia, registration is with CODiNuCat. All our practitioners are qualified dietitian-nutritionists and display their registration number.
Does my health insurance cover the consultation?
We have agreements with Adeslas, Sanitas, Asisa, DKV, Mapfre and AXA, among others. This is not a reimbursement: the agreement rate is applied directly. Tell us which policy you have when booking.
Can I start online if I live in Barcelona?
Yes. You can have all your follow-up appointments by video call or combine them with visits at any of our clinics, with the same practitioner.
