Hi, I’m Juana
I am Juana Mª González, Technical Director at Alimmenta and a dietitian-nutritionist. I have spent 20 years working in nutrition. Before that, I devoted my career to the food industry, where I held production management and quality management positions at an SME in the Leche Pascual group and later at the group’s headquarters in Aranda de Duero, in the Quality and Exports departments. I also worked for a time on new product development.
Look after your body: you only have one, and it has to last you a lifetime. It is in your hands.
I currently combine consultations with managing my team of nutritionists, a great team.
I co-authored the books La dieta inteligente and La dieta inteligente para runners (De Vecchi) with other Alimmenta dietitians-nutritionists.
I am from Burgos and have always enjoyed sport. I played basketball at school and competed in water polo at university for a few years. I was passionate about it. Later I took up running, and I have always stayed active.
Just as I was finishing my university studies, I spent two years travelling around Europe through Erasmus and similar programmes. During that time, I learned more about the industrial extrusion process, which opened the door to a job at Cereales Pascual. I also improved my English.
I came to work in nutrition by chance and discovered how much I enjoy meeting people and helping them change their habits and learn to take better care of themselves.
I have contributed to media outlets such as RTVE, El País, la Vanguardia, Cope radio, Onda Cero, RNE, etc.
