Hi, I’m Aina

My name is Aina Huguet Triay. I have a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from Rovira i Virgili University, as well as a master’s degree in Food Safety from the University of Barcelona.

I believe there is no single way of eating that is right for everyone: each person, situation and need is different. Understanding each patient as an individual and adapting their eating accordingly is essential for successful care

Over my 10 years in practice, I have worked with a wide range of clinical nutrition cases: digestive conditions (oesophagitis, dysphagia, gastritis, GORD, irritable bowel syndrome, IBD (Crohn’s disease and colitis), SIBO, IMO, intolerances, etc.), food allergies, metabolic syndrome, chronic kidney disease, type I, type II and gestational diabetes, cardiovascular disease (high blood pressure and dyslipidaemia), etc.

I am from Menorca and studied at Rovira i Virgili University in Reus, where I had the opportunity to take part in an Erasmus exchange in Porto. It taught me about different healthcare systems, food cultures and approaches to nutrition guidance, among other things.

After graduating, I went to Malta to gain new experiences and work as a dietitian-nutritionist. I learned that every nutrition plan needs to be tailored to the individual and realistic for them. After this wonderful experience, I returned to Barcelona and continued my studies with a master’s degree in Food Safety. I learned even more about nutrition from another very interesting perspective that I am also passionate about.

Since then, I have continued my training and specialised in different areas through courses on kidney disease, digestive health, diabetes and more.
