Adaptations
How to change it depending on the day. Each change keeps the dish, it does not replace it.
Nut-free
Leave out the chopped walnuts, or replace them with pumpkin or sunflower seeds.
Soy-free
Use oat drink or another unsweetened plant-based drink instead of soy milk.
What it provides
Kiwi provides vitamin C and banana provides potassium; chia seeds and walnuts provide omega-3 fats. Unlike juice, the smoothie retains the fibre of whole fruit.
The dietitian's tip
First blend the chia seeds into a fine powder: they mix in better and do not remain whole in the glass. Drink it freshly made, as soon as possible.
What a recipe is not
This recipe fits into a plan; it does not replace one. It cures nothing and it is not calculated for one particular person: the quantities are indicative and will need adjusting to your case.
If you have a medical condition, take medication or follow a prescribed diet, check with your doctor or your dietitian before changing anything.
